About Region 13

The AHA (Arabian Horse Association) is the governing body of Arabian horse shows and breed competitions, including endurance and competitive trail riding in the US and Canada. AHA is also the organization responsible for the registration of purebred Arabians and Half-Arabians. These two countries are divided into 18 Regions, and Indiana and Michigan make up the AHA's Region 13.

AHA sponsors programs including the National Halter and Performance Futurities, horse and rider achievement awards, Judges seminars and school, and the Breeders Sweepstakes Program. Rule changes are decided at the annual AHA Convention by delegates from AHA affiliate clubs and presented to USAE for inclusion in their rulebook. Convention delegates serve on AHA committees, where specific policies are set and programs developed.

Region 13 is made up of seven clubs, four located in Indiana, three in Michigan. It is dedicated to the promotion of the Arabian and Half-Arabian horse by coordinating activities throughout the region.

These AHA affiliated clubs elect a Regional Executive Committee, which includes a Director who represents the Region at the AHA Board of Directors meetings.

Region 13 has earned the respect of Arabian competitors across the nation, whether for show, dressage, pleasure, endurance or competitive trail.
